This evening workshop expands on the techniques taught in the earlier classes. Tabletops are a popular and practical application for mosaic. Students will use vitreous glass in the direct method to complete a 15 & ¾ x 15 & ¾ inch framed mosaic. Students will learn the role that color, tone, repetition, pattern, and contrast play in making a successful design. Come with a design in mind or find inspiration from one of the instructors’ mosaic books. Solid fir chairside table bases fully jointed using mortise and tenon joinery will be available for purchase or students may choose to use their mosaic as a wall hanging. (View Class Gallery)
